Children's Book Illustrations

I created digital illustrations for a children's book by a self-publishing author. The book is called 'Something Missing' and is about a frog named Clyde who feels lonely and goes on an adventure to find his place. In the end, Clyde realized nothing was missing after all and he returned to his home swamp. I was asked to take on this project in July 2023 and have been working on the illustrations and book layout for five months. As a freelance illustrator I gained new experience creating illustrations based off of the author's original hand drawn images and working with the Palmetto publishing company throughout the process. The book's release date was January 9, 2024 and it's sold on Amazon and Barnes and Noble's website. I am currently helping create illustrations for her second book on manners.

Clyde in Something Missing is a character that many children can learn a lesson from which has changed so many young minds already over the years. I loved that I was able to turn Carolyn's original illustrations into new digitalized ones in order for her book to be available for the world to see.
