Allegheny College Internship
In the spring 2023 semester, I completed a 6 credit internship with Allegheny College's Art and Publications team. Throughout my 15 weeks as an intern, I was able to complete many different projects including posters, signage, motion, and illustrations for their campus. This internship was a great learning opportunity for me because I was able to learn and work with in-house design for the first time. Every project that I completed followed Allegheny College’s brand guidelines and style. Some projects I worked on were based on templates, however, I had to create a majority of the projects on my own to match the college’s current creative identity. I learned to become more flexible to meet strict deadlines for projects that needed to be expedited. I also gained more experience with print files and sending proofs. There weren’t any projects that I worked on that took up most of the semester so I was happy that I was able to create a wide variety of work with Allegheny College.
